Foiling Without Fuss Featuring Gina K Designs and MFT Stamps and Dies

I love Shiny, Bling-y cards, how about you? :)

I needed to create a quick card that would be sent to a child in Virgin Gorda.  Their community was destroyed by Hurricane Irma and one of the way we card makers can help is just to send a card to put a smile on someones face.  All I could think of is the videos I have seen that show how these amazing kids, who are faced with such a difficult situation, are still smiling. I wanted this card to help them smile when they maybe are feeling down and I wanted it to shine just like their beautiful smiles.

The quick part was accomplished by using scor-tape and foil to create an easy wow card.  Check out the short and sweet video I created for it below.  With the right colors and sentiment I think this would make a fantastic holiday card too.

YouTube Tutorial

Check out this quick little video to help you recreate it :)  I would love to see what this card inspires you to make.  If you happen to post them on Instagram tag #perkypennypapers so I will have a heads up to check it out :)  Bare with me in the video it was a little difficult to describe :/

I am attempting to create videos that are short and sweet and to the point.  We are all busy and my intention is for you to get as much information and ideas for a project in as short a period of time as possible.  This weeks video is a double feature:)  Let me know what you think in the comments below and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel.  It is much appreciated :)

If you make a project inspired by this post please tag it with #perkypennypapers on Instagram and I will be able to see it :)  Thanks again.

Thank you so much again for checking out this weeks project :)

Baby Cards w/ Sunny Studios Quilted Hexagons Stamps and Distress Oxide Inks

Welcome it's great to see you :) I am not often in the need of baby cards so this weeks card is particularly excited for several reasons. First I am waiting for the birth of a new little niece or nephew (and I am guessing the last one).  I will be traveling to Minnesota for the birth....Yay!

On the way I will be stopping in Greendale, WI to visit Gina K. and Kathy Racoosin and participate in The Coloring Challenge Road Trip.  So much fun :)  Because I will be traveling I took the opportunity to make these adorable baby cards so that I would have them on hand for the special arrival.

I had this super cool set that came out in July from Sunny Studio Stamps called Quilted Hexagons.

My grandma was a huge quilter and I have many friends who enjoy it as well.  But me, I'm a stamper, so this set is perfect.  The idea of actually quilting raises my anxiety about 3000% but stamps are my happy place.  This particular set has so many elements to create anything from and old fashioned …

Fall Tea Cup Pop Up Card Featuring Hero Arts Infinity Dies

I love Hero Arts, how about you? :)  I had so much fun creating this card this week.  It started with Hero Arts Infinity Dies and my love of anything to do with Tea and ended with my quest to make a stand up card that someone would want to display and not be so ready to throw away.   There is a video below showing how I created this pop up card, a diagram below that for what I like to call my paper spring, and below that handy links to all of the products I used to make this cutie :)
This weekend I'm heading to Greendale, Wisconsin to visit Gina and her lovely shop.  One of my happy places.  See you soon Gina :)  Is everyone getting ready for the holidays....I'm starting to itch to make Christmas cards.  I'm guessing I will start at Village Paper and Ink this weekend.
