Perky Penny Picks - Spellbinders Paper Arts Die-secting the Dies

I saw these dies and my head started filling with possibilities of what I could do with them. As you may know if you follow me I am a big fan of thinking outside of the box.  Here are to pretty cards I created by doing just that.
Spellbinder's Shapeabilities Love Grows Etched Dies by Sharyn Sowe
I die cut 3 of the Love Grows die from white card stock and 1 from a pink glitter card stock. I then stacked them and offset the pink glitter layer on the very bottom.

I then die cut a panel of French Flair die from the Rouge Royale Deux Collection and trimmed it to connect with the Love piece.

I took an A2 card base and trimmed it down to the width of Love Grows die and adhered the trimmed down piece of the French Flair die on first and then the die cut stack to the bottom.  I finished this card off with the "with" die cut out of the same pink glitter card stock and backed up with a piece of white.

I die cut a duo of the top flower spray, of this With Love etched die and then butted them up opposite each other centered on a 3 3/4" x 5" white card stock panel and then place that over a silver mat that measures 4" x 5 1/4".  I die cut the 25th out of the center of said silver mat.  These numbers come from the Shapeabilities Filigree Numbers Etched Dies.  I glued the numbers to the Vellum which I wrapped around the card to appear as if it is a belly band.

I challenge you to think outside the box with your own dies and......

Pretty Things Survivors Do Blog Hop

I am so honored to be a part of today's #PrettyThingsSurvivorsDo blog hop hosted by Salima over at IHeartScraps.

This Hop is to raise awareness of those suffering from PTSD during the Holiday season.

PTSD is a “psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, serious accident, terrorist act, war/combat, rape or other violent personal assault.” (American Psychiatric Association definition).

Although mostly associated with war veterans, it affects 3.5% of the population and 4% of US children ages 13-18 will experience PTSD in their lifetime. About 8 million adults have PTSD during a given year. (Brain and Behavior Research Foundation)

The holidays are a difficult time for those living with PTSD. We are participating in the blog hop in the hopes that you may be reminded to reach out to loved ones, neighbors, and friends who could be living with PTSD daily. If one person is remembered this holiday season, then we have achieved our goal of spreading awareness.

Created using the Favorably Simple Gift Box from Spellbinders Paper Arts and the Fairytale Floral 12 x 12 paper pad from DCWV.
I created this adorable gift box purse to celebrate the Hop.  It is an example of the pretty things I love to create, to gift to people who may need a little extra something to lift their spirits throughout the year.  It's these simple gestures that can help someone who may be silently suffering.

If you make crafts reach out and share your beautiful projects with someone you know may need some TLC.  You can make a huge difference!   We all can!

Thank you for joining us! If you know someone who lives with PTSD and would like ways to support them, please visit the following sites and remember to reach out to a neighbor, friend or family member during this holiday season, you could make a difference in their day.

The National Institute of Mental Health

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

 US Department of Veteran's Affairs.

The final stop on this Hop is our hostess Salima at I Heart Scraps. If you just joined the Hop go to CLICK HERE to go to Sandy Allnock's page.
