Altenew Educator Ceritifcation Program/Sweet and Simple Card

I am so excited to be participating in the Altenew Educator Certification Program.  I am a huge fan of their inks and layering stamps and this just gives me another excuse to play with these beautiful products.  The first lesson is based on the Golden Garden Stamp set.  This is a whimsical floral set that requires little layering and doesn't have to be lined up perfect to look great.  It's one of my favorites :)
I created this simple card using 3 of the flowers in the set.  I selectively inked the outline stamp, with Altenew Crisp Dye Ink in Jet Black, so I could connect the stems together.  I simply inked up the image, wiped the unwanted parts of ink off with my finger and stamped the image on the desired location on my card panel.  Repeating for each of the 3 stems.  I finished off my black stamping with a sentiment from Altenew's Bejeweled Stamp set.

To color the flowers I selectively inked the fill in stamps with Altenew Crisp Dye Ink in Ruby Red and Parrot Ink. This is quit simple as the images are fairly defined and because of the carefree style of the images.  If it isn't exact it doesn't matter in the least.

After I was done with the stamping I trimmed the panel down to 4" x 5 1/4" and popped it up on a black card base with some foam tape.

I will use this card as a go to for gift giving.  It would take no time to create a quick set of thank you or hello cards.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.  I will be back soon with another project. Thank you so much again for visiting :)

Baby Cards w/ Sunny Studios Quilted Hexagons Stamps and Distress Oxide Inks

Welcome it's great to see you :) I am not often in the need of baby cards so this weeks card is particularly excited for several reasons. First I am waiting for the birth of a new little niece or nephew (and I am guessing the last one).  I will be traveling to Minnesota for the birth....Yay!

On the way I will be stopping in Greendale, WI to visit Gina K. and Kathy Racoosin and participate in The Coloring Challenge Road Trip.  So much fun :)  Because I will be traveling I took the opportunity to make these adorable baby cards so that I would have them on hand for the special arrival.

I had this super cool set that came out in July from Sunny Studio Stamps called Quilted Hexagons.

My grandma was a huge quilter and I have many friends who enjoy it as well.  But me, I'm a stamper, so this set is perfect.  The idea of actually quilting raises my anxiety about 3000% but stamps are my happy place.  This particular set has so many elements to create anything from and old fashioned …

Fall Tea Cup Pop Up Card Featuring Hero Arts Infinity Dies

I love Hero Arts, how about you? :)  I had so much fun creating this card this week.  It started with Hero Arts Infinity Dies and my love of anything to do with Tea and ended with my quest to make a stand up card that someone would want to display and not be so ready to throw away.   There is a video below showing how I created this pop up card, a diagram below that for what I like to call my paper spring, and below that handy links to all of the products I used to make this cutie :)
This weekend I'm heading to Greendale, Wisconsin to visit Gina and her lovely shop.  One of my happy places.  See you soon Gina :)  Is everyone getting ready for the holidays....I'm starting to itch to make Christmas cards.  I'm guessing I will start at Village Paper and Ink this weekend.
